This wildlife friendly farm has adopted a very long term approach to its soils. Caroline Corsie, a trained agronomist, is the manager and believes that farming starts from the soil up. She has run Lower Smite Farm for The Worcestershire Wildlife Trust for the last eight years. She has a passion for earthworms and other soil life and believes that crop diversity which provides better habitats is also extremely beneficial to the farm's bottom line.
