You can trace our roots back to 1882 when Dallas Electric Lighting Company brought electricity to North Texas. We watched as the arrival of porch lights first welcomed neighbors and confused moths. We saw the introduction of air conditioning make our brutal summers somewhat bearable. And we marveled at the first electric car whirring down our streets.

TXU Energy is proud of our Texas heritage. We’re committed to always improving the communities where we live, work and serve. That’s why we create greener neighborhoods through tree-planting programs, and we offer aid to those who need assistance paying their electricity bill.

Of course we realize some people don’t want to think much about their electricity company, and that’s fine with us. We’d rather you spend time doing other things, like video-chatting with out-of-town relatives, microwaving popcorn for the kids and relaxing under patio lights in the evening.
